Congressional Approved Spam

Those monkeys in Congress got together and once again decided to hell with the limited powers the Constitution authorized the federal government to have, we should pass some a Spam control act. It's for the children... the people are screaming for it... blah, blah...

We are now left with Government approved Spam and Spammers have an easy out if ever faced with a lawsuit. It says it all in the fine print:

"This message is sent in compliance of the new e-mail bill section 301. Under Bill S. 1618 TITLE III passed by the 105th US Congress. This message cannot be considered Spam as long as we include the way to be removed, Paragraph (a)(c) of S. 1618, further transmissions to you by the sender of this e-mail may be stopped at no cost to you by following the instructions above on how to unsubscribe (opt-out)."

Thanks Congress. Now the power is in our hands... all we have to do is find that little link in the fine print and "opt-out" of a billion freaking spam lists! Thanks for nothing.

Or, just wait a few years, when Congress will pass still more laws. This time for a national do-not-email list.

Meddling bunch of power drunk elites, (with the Judicial side unwilling to stop them and the Executive side drooling over having one more thing they may save/enslave the citizens from/with).
